Arun Ramamurthi is a disciple of the renowned violinist, Delhi Shri P Sunder Rajan. He developed his bowing and fingering techniques early on with Western classical lessons at the age of 4. He was initiated to Carnatic music on the violin by Shri Krishna Kutty at the age of 10 and has been training under his guru Delhi Shri P. Sunderrajan since 2000.
Arun has performed both as a soloist and an accompanist throughout the U.S. and in numerous venues in Chennai including the Music Academy.
In 2015 he inaugurated MaargaUSA, an initiative that provides a platform for young budding musicians in the Los Angeles area to showcase their talent. He also has been teaching violin for the past 7 years.
Arun graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with degrees in Music and Economics, and currently works in Irvine, California.
