Claim To Fame:
Anirudh Bharadwaj, took to learning Carnatic music (vocal) at the age of five and the art of playing the flute at the age of six from Guru Smt. Akhila Krishnan and Guru Shri P.N.Krishnan, eminent musicians in Delhi. He has also been learning Hindustani flute from Shri Kailash Sharma at Gandharva Maha Vidhyala, New Delhi. Currently, he is taking advanced training under the tutelage of noted Carnatic musicians Smt. Ranjini and Smt. Gayatri.
He is also pursuing Graduation in Music, University of Madras. Over the years, he has given flute concerts across the country and performed abroad with his first solo concert at the age of eight at India International Centre, New Delhi. His landmark concert was at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the esteemed presence of late Shri A.P.J Abdul Kalam, Honourable President of India in the year 2006.
He was sent on an exchange programme from Modern School, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi to the USA in 2009 and in 2011 he was selected by Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt. of India for participation in the Youth Cultural Exchange Programme in China.
Anirudh is also a performing artist in Yuvavani, All India Radio. He also participated in festival of Young Musicians & Dancers at Central Park, Rajiv Chowk, New Delhi organized by Sahitya Kala Parishad, Govt. of Delhi. He was also one of the National finalists of “Naad Bhed” music competition in the year 2013 in the Carnatic Instrumental category conducted by Spic Macay in collaboration with Doordarshan. He also won the “Best Instrumental - Solo” in the Spirit of youth festival - 2014 conducted by Music Academy, Chennai.
